How we review your answers
We work with IPSOS, a research analysis organisation, to review your report and give each of your answers a rating.
The rating will be based on 3 things - progress, learning and quality of evidence provided.
How we assess progress
You will get a ‘significant’, ‘some’ or ‘limited’ rating. If you get ‘none’ this means that you gave no update.
'Significant' progress rating
A significant rating means either:
-
your goal is achieved
-
your goal is close to being achieved
-
barriers have been removed so the goal will be achieved with relative ease
'Some' progress rating
A ‘some’ rating means you’ve made steps towards achieving your goal but the goal is not yet achieved or close to being achieved.
‘Limited’ progress rating
Limited progress means you have made little or no progress towards a goal. For example, this could be because you needed to prioritise alternative goals.
How we review learning summaries
We also review your learning summaries and rate them.
You will get a ‘significant’, ‘some’ or ‘limited’ rating If you get ‘none’ this means that you gave no update.
'Significant' learning outcome
A significant rating means you’ve:
-
shown significant learning relating to your goals
-
considered what you've learnt in the process
-
explained how your insight has shaped activities or thinking
'Some' learning outcome
A 'some’ rating means you’ve displayed some learning in relation to your goals. For example, you might have:
-
included what you've learnt in the process for some, but not all, goals
-
provided learning updates for all goals but not included detail of how the insight has shaped your activity or thinking
'Limited' learning outcome
A limited rating means you've shown limited learning in relation to your goals. For example you have not:
-
demonstrated what you’ve learnt in the process
-
explained how your insight has shaped activities or thinking
How we review quality of evidence on goal progress
We also review the quality of information you’ve provided towards your goal progress, and rate it.
You will get a ‘good’, ‘mixed’ or ‘needs improvement’ rating. If you get ‘none’ this means that you gave no update.
'Good' evidence quality outcome
A good evidence quality rating means you’ve:
-
provided thorough detail and evidence on the progress made towards the majority of your goals
-
included explanations of how progress has been made
-
included how and why your steps or goals have changed compared to their original submission
-
provided evidence if relevant, for example factual information, data, research, links or other information sources
'Mixed' evidence quality rating
A mixed quality rating means that the detail and evidence you included about your goals are inconsistent in their quality. For example, some would be given a 'good' rating but some would be given a 'needs improvement' rating
‘Needs improvement’ rating
A ‘needs improvement’ rating means that you did not include the detail and evidence of progress made towards most of your goals.
